Followed this particular bug as a hand-me-down system was AMD32 without SSE2 instruction. It is a perfectly good computer, but no use for Flash games, unless you are happy to run known vulnerable versions of Flash.
RMS can rightly say he told us so, but the decision to drop older hardware at a point release seems to be a mistake, and is the kind of thing that wouldn’t happen in the free software world. I guess it is possible some political shenanigans at Adobe caused this, part of their desire to destroy Flash adoption.
Back to 100% free desktop, except, well there is just one plug-in for which no 100% free equivalent seems to be available. Time to do without?
