The HFEA site notes some regard this as a “slope worth sliding down”.

However whilst I agree it may be a slope and may be slippery with DNA designed by the whim of evolution, we are already at the bottom of the slope and have a lot of climbing till the most damaging mutations are well and truly put in their place.
